▪ They are the “can do” generation, never worrying about failure. They are always focused on developing new job skills, always setting new challenges to achieve.

▪ Unlike other generations, Millennials are highly connected to their parents. Even as young adults, they ask their parents for personal and career advice. Some of them are still living at home, happy with the arrangement.

▪ Millennials love working in teams. In school, this generation was taught lessons using a cooperative learning style. Therefore, they feel comfortable working on teams, believing that a team can accomplish more and obtain better results.

▪ When it comes to work life balance, Generation Y is not willing to give up their lifestyle for a career. This is why they choose careers that allow them to live life in the way they desire.

▪ They are technologically savvy. They are always connected, even while working: they send text messages, listen to their iPods or communicate through social media platforms. This allows them to rapidly connect with colleagues and friends from all around the world.

▪ They have a huge need of constant feedback and praise. This generation needs to feel valuable, while getting involved in company’s decisions.

▪ Millennials want to have an opened and honest relationship with their manager and colleagues. Besides receiving feedbacks, offering personal feedbacks is also highly important to them.

Workplace satisfaction matters more to Millennials than financial compensation. They are less likely than previous generations to put up with an unpleasant work environment and much more likely to use social networking to share their concerns. Satisfied Millennials are their organization’s best advocates.

▪ Millennials are great multi-taskers with 10 times the speed and technical knowledge of their older predecessors.
