The Z generation refers to the one born after the Millennials (or Y generation). There is no agreement on the range of birth dates: a part of the sociologists say that the Z generation is the one being born at the mid or late 1990s, while the other one states that the Z generation children were born after the Year 2000. But one thing we know for sure about them: they are digital natives, speaking the digital language of computers, being highly connected through internet, social media & video games and living their lives based on technology innovations.
Analysing the Z generation, the Australian social researcher, Mark McCrindle, declares: “They are the most connected, educated and sophisticated generation in history. They don’t just represent the future, they are creating it.”
Others do believe that this generation, being interconnected and growing up with issues like climate change and poverty has the self-confidence and the belief they can change the world.
